US$4 MILLION HEIST SUSPECTS HEAD TO COURT Cuffed and grinning …

TWO suspects linked to Zimbabwe’s biggest cash heist — the US$4,4 million EcoBank robbery — are set to appear in court this afternoon in Bulawayo.

The duo, cuffed together and seemingly unbothered, were spotted laughing and chatting as they were escorted into court by heavily armed CID Homicide officers.

Their appearance before a Bulawayo magistrate at 2:15 PM marks the latest twist in the high-stakes robbery that stunned the nation.

The pair, represented by lawyer Prince Butshe-Dube of Mathonsi Ncube Law Chambers, are facing separate charges but are both linked to the lightning-fast 149-second heist that rocked the banking sector last year.

Sources say the men were arrested on Wednesday and have been assisting police with investigations since.

The robbery, which saw over US$4 million vanish during a money transfer from a Bulawayo bank to a security van, remains the most daring and costly in the country’s history.

More drama expected in court this afternoon.
