The gala, which will be held at the Victoria Falls Rest Camp, will feature popular artistes such as Sulumani Chimbetu and Dendera Kings, gospel diva Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave, the ever energetic Iyasa group, Blessing “Buju” Nyagwaya and Chicken Bus.
The general assembly is scheduled to start on 24 August next year with over 4 000 delegates expected to descend on Victoria Falls for the mega-tourism event.
Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) head of public relations, events and protocol, Sugar Chagonda, confirmed the development.
“The gala will all be about celebrating the event and everyone is welcome to come and enjoy this rare occasion.
“We want the ordinary Zimbabweans to also come and celebrate the coming of the event. We also want to thank God for the event,” said Chagonda.
He said they would most likely be joined by their counterparts from Zambia.
“We are working hard with Zambia and we are likely to be together with them,” he said.
