ONE of the Nyanga hotels, Village Inn is up for sale. The hotel was put under Judicial Management in January this year after its owner, Mr Edward Buwu, approached the High Court seeking protection from creditors who wanted to attach his property. The High Court ordered its auctioning so that employees and other service providers would recover their money, reportedly amounting to $350 000.

Prospective buyers have been streaming to the massive structure, set on 19 acres, with prices being thrown around ranging from $600 000 to $1, 2 million.

The Judicial Manager has since engaged an investor, Starfic Investments owned by hotelier, Mr Francis Ngwenya to run the hotel. Starfic has already downsized the workforce from 34 to 14 in order to create a viable business as there is low turnout of customers.

Starfic is also leasing Rhodes Nyanga Hotel.
