LUCK ran out for a Zimunya man who was illegally cultivating dagga at his homestead after police busted him and discovered 139 plants.
Police confirmed the arrest of Tendai Mutyadziya (37) at the weekend in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
“On Saturday, November 8, police in Mutare acted on received information and arrested Tendai Samuel Mutyadziya (37) at Village 8A, Himalaya, Zimunya in connection with unlawful cultivation of 139 plants of dagga,” said the police.
The suspect, added the police, led law enforcement agents to his kitchen hut where an additional 47 plants of dagga which were being dried were discovered.
