Viola Davis makes history!

EXTRAORDINARY American actress Viola Davis had Hollywood eating out of the palms of her hands. Last Sunday she became the first African-American to bag the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the annual Emmy Awards 2015. This was for her mind-blowing role in the series, How To Get Away With Murder where she plays a hardcore attorney and professor.

She shared moving words during her acceptance speech which had the likes of actresses Kerry Washington and Taraji Henson in tears.
In her speech she said: “Let me tell you something: the only thing that separates women of colour from anyone else is opportunity.

“You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there, so here’s to all the writers, the awesome people who have redefined what it means to be beautiful, to be sexy, to be a leading woman and to be black!”
Another win went to actress Uzo Aduba for her amazing performance as Crazy Eyes in the popular series Orange Is The New Black. — The Sun.
