VICE President Colonel (Retired) Kembo Mohadi this Friday morning graced the SADC Sustainable Energy Week Golf Tournament, describing sport as a powerful tool that transcends barriers and unites people.

The golf challenge, held at the Elephant Hills golf course, marked the grand finale of the week-long SADC Sustainable Energy Week, which commenced on Monday.
The event brought together regional energy experts, policymakers, and stakeholders who spent the week deliberating on sustainable energy solutions, with a particular focus on renewable energy advancements in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.

Teeing off to a bright start, VP Mohadi took a moment to reflect on the significance of blending serious policy discussions with recreational activities.
Vice President Mohadi emphasised that sport serves as a common language that brings people together, regardless of their background.
“”Sport does not know any other language; there is no language, and sport is the unifier. It is one thing that you have to do in border relax,” said VP Mohadi.
He highlighted the importance of unwinding after a week of intensive dialogue on critical regional issues.
“After having had a long week of serious deliberations on energy, for the renewable energy to be more precise, it is also prudent that you come to this course, relax, play golf, enjoy yourself, and see whoever is going to win,” he said.
Vice President Mohadi also expressed his gratitude for being part of the occasion and acknowledged his new role.
“Thank you very much for gracing this occasion this morning. Yes, I also want to thank you very much for having appointed me your partner as the patron of this tournament
“So, I will be practicing more golf so that I do not just become a patron that does not play golf,” he said.
