A GLUT of first-half missed chances coupled by indecisiveness, put a damper on Chicken Inn’s quest of the US$150 000 title handshake when they were held to a draw in their backyard by a fighting Yadah in a league match played at Luveve Stadium yesterday.

Bustling Brian Muza, Brett Amidu and Malvern Hwata took turns to spurn a plethora of clear goal scoring chances in the first stanza.

After the breather, Yadah came out as a determined lot, asking a lot of questions from the Moses Jackson commanded Gamecocks rearguard.
Against the run of play and right on the death of play, Yadah got their goal through enterprising Brian Kadamanja in the 88th minute.
However, it was not long that forgotten substitute Leroy Ndlovu levelled matters to make sure Chicken Inn picked up a point.
“I knew it was going to be a very difficult game for us.
These are champions and it was not going to be easy for us.

We gained a valuable point against the champions,” reckoned Yadah FC head coach Genesis Mangombe.
A disappointed Joey Atipas, the Chicken Inn coach said: “It’s very much frustrating.
We needed to win this game in the first-half but we wasted a lot of chances. In the second-half we had nothing to show for it because we had no takers.”
