LUVEVE Stadium will this afternoon be the battleground as Chicken Inn lock horns with bottom-placed Kwekwe United in a crucial Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash.
Fresh from crashing out of the Chibuku Super Cup, the Gamecocks are desperate to return to winning ways. They sit in 12th place with 30 points and a worrying form guide of LDWLD, meaning just five points from a possible 15 in their last five outings — a meagre 33 percent success rate.
Gamecocks coach Joey Antipas said this is a must-win fixture for his side.
“We must win by all means and improve our performances starting with this game,” declared Antipas.
For Kwekwe United, the situation is dire. Rooted at the bottom of the table with only 10 points, they are fighting for survival and will be eager to pull off an upset.
Elsewhere, log leaders Simba Bhora will host second-placed Scottland in a potential title decider at Wadzanayi Stadium. The highly anticipated clash is expected to draw a huge crowd as both sides battle for supremacy.
Herentals College will face CAPS United at Rufaro Stadium while ZPC Kariba play host to former champions Ngezi Platinum Stars at Nyamhunga. Yadah Stars take on Bikita Minerals at Heart Stadium.
