WATERFALLS Adventist High School has once again proven its commitment to academic excellence by attaining impressive results in last year’s examinations.
The school achieved a remarkable 93 percent pass rate for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and 100 percent for Advanced Level.
The learners’ achievements are nothing short of remarkable. The top IGCSE learner attained 10 As, of these ten , 8 are A stars. The leading Advanced level candidate managed 3 A stars in pure Sciences. We had 15 pointers in all fields, Sciences ,Commercials and Arts.
The school’s headmaster, Onias Tendere, attributed the success to the hard work and dedication of both learners and staff.

“First and foremost, it is the Lord’s blessing upon us that we are getting such good results. Our exceptional performance is also the result of the hard work and dedication of our students, alongside the professional delivery of service from our talented faculty and dedicated staff.
“We run monthly incentivised tests to foster healthy competition among our students. This environment not only prepares them for exams but also instils a sense of responsibility and achievement,” said Tendere.
Mind-stimulating activities carried out at the school, he said, have also helped sharpen learners’ minds. The activities include sports like swimming, and life skills courses such as driving, first aid and sign language.
“We select our teachers through interviews and get quality, God-fearing professionals who have education at heart. These teachers are mostly motivated by the love of their calling and remain focused as we set and assess progress towards set targets,” said the headmaster.

Waterfalls Adventist High School primarily follows the Cambridge curriculum, while also incorporating local studies like Shona.
“Our learning environment is warm and friendly and we maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse. We take a deliberate interest in every student’s well-being.
“For instance, if a student is unwell, we visit them and provide online lessons where possible. Each learner truly has a special place in our system.
“We are committed to shaping not just scholars, but future leaders who are equipped to make a positive impact in their communities,” he explained.

The school’s success has resulted in many parents in the suburbs and surrounding areas developing an interest in enrolling their children at the learning institution.
Pastor Darrell Katusha, the school’s chaplain, said they embrace diversity by welcoming learners from all backgrounds, enhancing the educational experience through collaboration.
“At Waterfalls Adventist High School, we celebrate multiculturalism and inclusivity, welcoming students from all backgrounds and races. Our diverse environment enriches the educational experience, fostering understanding and collaboration among peers.
“As a testament to our commitment to global education, we proudly offer Chinese as part of our curriculum, allowing students to explore new languages and cultures. Being part of the school provides several benefits for learners,” reckons Pastor Katusha.
