TAPIWA Kapini simply wanted to celebrate his latest birthday but his Twitter post has turned into a platform for bashing for the veteran goalkeeper.
A number of those who reacted to the post turned it into an exercise to mock the footballer about his age.
“I am so Grateful my Lord, thank you for everything, today am one year older and still going strong because of your Grace and Mercy towards my career, to my Daddy and my Mother thank you for giving me life,” tweeted Kapini.
But, while many congratulated him, others grabbed the initiative to harass him with questions about his real age.
His reaction was sober.
“Some will continue to hate you for no apparent reason, instead of constructive criticism, they are out to destroy people with their comments,” he posted a message in reaction.
“Show them that you’re happy with what you are doing by doing what you do best.
“Show them that you’re not affected by their IMMATURITY.”
At least, Cephas Chimedza and Marshall Munetsi congratulated him on his birthday.
“Happy birthday Campo, enjoy,” wrote Chimedza, who is based in Belgium.
France-based midfielder, Marshall Munetsi, also kept it simple by writing “Happy birthday akoma.”
However, Munetsi’s post attracted a hostile reaction from one, Richy, who posted, “Ndisekuru vako ava Munetsi, zera rekuti uvati Akoma rakapfura.”
