A WOMAN has told a court that her husband has the tendency of shouting from the street, demanding sex, as he makes his way home.
Pafunge Diza said this only happens when her husband, Simbarashe Diza, is drunk.
She said their neighbours are now familiar to his chants demanding sex while he is staggering home.
“My husband yells that he wants to have sex with me as he would be coming home in his drunken state.
“He yells while he is still on the street and it draws my neighbour’s attention.
“I walk in shame every day knowing that my neighbours know what happens behind our closed doors.”
She claims that on the occasions she turns him down, he threatens her with an axe.
“He threatens me with an axe if l deny him his conjugal rights.
“He tells me that I have a bad smell and l do not bath.
“He is also in the habit of stalking me since 2022.”
In response, Simbarashe denied the allegations.
“I do not recall saying that to my wife. I have never done that to her before.
“I stalk her because l suspect she is having affairs.”
Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted Pafunge’s application for a protection order.
She ordered Simbarashe to control his drinking habits so that peace could be maintained.
