SOUTH Africa-based Zimbabwean artist, Knowledge ‘Hardknox HDK’ Chisutu, is now a proud owner of a recording studio in Musina.

He says he now feels at home there. Chisutu, who moved to South Africa in 2009, is now trending both as a musician and producer.

“I started my musical career as some sort of funny entertainer but later I met other people here in Matswale with the same ideas and we took it to another level,” he said.

Chisutu is now the owner of a studio called One Love Records.

He has previously worked with top producer Simplex.

He now works with Sparkies World. He is currently working with four other artists, including Macdee Madhara.

“I produce every genre of music, dancehall, hip hop, RnB, sungura, gospel, house, you name it.

“I can sing as well and do the recordings myself and the videos as well.

“My dream is to be the biggest music producer in Limpopo and, obviously, Zimbabwe is my home so one day I wish to establish myself back home.

“Even here, given the chance, I want to work with Zimbabwean artists they are very talented.”

He said the Covid-19 lockdowns forced him to think outside the box.

“The best advice I can offer is that producers and musicians focus on their dreams, no matter the location.

“I came here not as a music producer but now I have my own studio.”
