WHERE THE TOP GOAL SCORER IS THE PSL’S BOARDROOM

DYNAMOS’ strike force has been MISFIRING this season their top goal-scorers list includes the BOARDROOM where the Glamour Boys picked three goals against Chegutu Pirates.

The Glamour Boys, whose coach Genesis Mangombe somehow still believes they are still in the championship race, have one of the weakest strike forces in the domestic Premiership.

Dynamos have scored 17 goals this season, with three of the goals coming from the boardroom, after they were handed a 3-0 win over Chegutu Pirates in their abandoned match.

That is 10 goals fewer than leaders FC Platinum’s tally and seven goals fewer than those scored by Simba Bhora and Ngezi Platinum Stars.

Only Bulawayo Chiefs (13), Pirates (12), Hwange (11), ZPC Kariba (10) and Arenel Movers (8) have scored fewer goals than Dynamos.

Remarkably, Yadah (19) Tel One (19) and Bikita Minerals (19) have scored more goals than the Glamour Boys.

If the Pirates players had accepted the 0-1 defeat at the hands of Dynamos, whose goal came with the last touch of the match, DeMbare would have had 15 goals in 19 league matches all season.

That is an average of 0.78 goals per game.

The three goals, which DeMbare got from the boardroom, are the same number of goals which the two leading goal-scorers from the club – Emmanuel Paga and Kelvin Moyo – have scored this season.

The two players have each scored three goals.

The poor state of the Dynamos strike force is highlighted by the fact that Moyo, who scored their winner against Hwange at the Colliery at the weekend, is a central defender.

Two of Moyo’s goals have come from the penalty spot against CAPS United and Bikita Minerals.

Moyo’s goals have earned Dynamos seven points.

Namibian import, Sydney Urikhob, has scored two goals and sits in third place, on the DeMbare scorers’ charts. The other contributions have come from those who have scored one goal all season – Alick Fred, Nomore Chinyerere, Emmanuel Jalai, Valentine Kadonzvo, Alexander Mandinyenga and Donald Mudadi.

Donald Dzvinyai would have been on that list if his effort against Chegutu Pirates was counted had the game not been abandoned.

Instead, that abandonment led to the game being decided in the boardroom with Dynamos getting three goals, and three points, from that match.
