A video of a Mutare-based Mozambican woman crying pleading for financial help to pay for her A-Level daughter’s fees has gone viral.

Verde Anthony Jackson, popularly known as Titiya in Mutare, said she had hit hard times since being divorced by her Zimbawean husband, Godfrey Ziko, in 2009 after two stillborn births.

“Godfrey left me in 2009 after I had two stillborn births. I opted to remain in Zimbabwe since I had nowhere to go.

“I really need help with school fees for my daughter,” she said.

Verde said she had even attempted to commit suicide on Tuesday afternoon after going through delusional episodes.

“I took a rope and tried to hang myself, but then I thought of my daughter.

“I reminded myself that I have to live for her.

“I need help because I want my daughter to proceed with her education,” she said while wailing.
