A WOMAN approached the Harare Civil Court last week seeking a peace order against her husband’s girlfriend who is in the habit of visiting her place of residence demanding to know his whereabouts. Musabaye Mushayi told Harare magistrate Ms Babra Masinire that Esther Mombeshora was breaching her peace.

“She is in the habit of visiting my place of residence during odd hours asking my husband to come out,” she said.
Mushayi said whenever Mombeshora visited her house she insulted her with obscene words, awakening her neighbours.

“I want the court to bar her from coming to my place of residence because she is very violent,” she said.
“If she wants to see my husband, I can’t stop her, but she must do that away from my house.”
Mombeshora refuted the allegations, saying Mushayi’s husband was also the father of her child.

“I visit her place of residence during month ends only to collect maintenance from her husband,” she said.
Mombeshora said she was not opposed to Mushayi’s application since she was not doing anything wrong against her.
Ms Masinire granted the peace order which barred Mombeshora from verbally abusing Mushayi and to keep peace towards her at all times.
