A CHIKANGA woman is alleged to have been shown the exit door after stealing her mother-in-law’s undergarments. This emerged during a maintenance hearing between Christine Manzonzo and Maxwell Numbure of Gwiriri in Honde Valley at Mutare Magistrates’ Court on Friday. The couple appeared before Mrs Yeukai Chigodora. Manzonzo approached the court claiming maintenance for the couple’s two children’s upkeep. Numbure told the court that he could not pay maintenance nor leave his kids with the woman he believes was of loose morals and a monster.

“This woman cannot take care of my kids for she comes home twice a week. She is a sex worker,” claimed Maxwell.
An emotionally charged Christine dismissed the allegations that she was a sex worker.

“I was sent packing on January 17, having been accused of stealing my mother-in-law’s undergarments. The whole family believes I bewitched her,” she told the court.
Numbure was, however, ordered by Mrs Chigodora to pay $50 every month as maintenance.
