Woman whips neighbours’ kids with electric cable

A Kwekwe woman got herself in trouble after she whipped her neighbours’ children with an electric cable for throwing stones at each other.

Sipiwe Munangarwa who is employed as a bar lady at Munyati Guest Lodge outside Kwekwe, assaulted the two children aged eight and five respectively, for pelting each other with stones.

Munangarwa has since been arraigned before Kwekwe Magistrate Miss Vimbai Mutukwa who fined her $30 failure of which she spends 30 days in prison.

The court heard that on 14 December 2018, Munangarwa was at ZPC Munyati guest lodge where she works.

Another neighbour, Milda Damira called her and advised her that the children, were throwing stones at each other.

The accused went to her house where she called the two children into her home of which they complied as they never suspected anything.

She started assaulting the two with an electrical cable all over the body several times.

The children were released and headed straight to their homes where they made reports to their respective parents.

The parents made police reports leading to the arrest of the accused.

The children sustained bruises all over the body and were referred to Kwekwe District Hospital.
