OVER 90 influential women will converge in two weeks’ time for a transformative brunch, which is aimed at empowering and healing of women.
The event, dubbed Becoming Her is running under the theme, ‘Silk and Satins’ and will be held on May 10.
Founder of the movement Grace Mawunganidze, said, this is their third event and is anticipated to host over 90 plus attendees with the aim of addressing all things to do with healing generational trauma, one generation at a time.
The age range is between 20-32.
“Imagine these mothers, daughters, single moms, teen moms and just women at large, addressing an aspect of women empowerment that focuses on the healing of a woman.
“So many women don’t know they have gone through traumatic experiences, let alone know how to cultivate healthy relationships this day and age.
“Our third event is anticipated to host over 90 attendees and is aimed at women and addressing all things to do with healing generational trauma, one generation at a time,” she said.
Mawunganidze said, so many women don’t know they have gone through traumatic experiences, let alone know how to cultivate healthy relationships this day and age.
“So on May, 10, I will sit down with a powerful panel of women including Gamuchirai Chinamasa, Tinevimbo Matambanadzo, Becky K, Modester Pfaira and ChefonDuty to address these issues.
“We are going to touch on childhood trauma and its long-term effects, addressing teenage pregnancies and societal stigma, experiences with remarrying and dealing with miscarriages, challenges and stigmas around challenges on childbearing, and healthy and affordable options for women as far as their diets are concerned.
“We also have a team on FREE On-Site Therapists that are going to be the emotional trashcans for the women and so much more that will take time to unpack on here.
“Because we also want to see women empowered, we have what we call the Fe-Market.
“We usually run it on our online platform, but for the first time, we are going to be having it live and are inviting all women owned brands and businesses to come through and showcase their products,” added Grace.
The event will give attendees a chance to get to experience their brand first hand and to also market their products to them.
“The goal is to teach the women how to interact with customers and how to sell a good and high-quality product.
“We held our first event in January 2020, and it ran under the theme “Chics’nChocolate” had over 40 attendees and we were expecting 30 attendees.
“Our second event was in January 2023 under the theme “A Soft Affair” had over 70 plus attendees.
“It was open to both men and women aimed at finding the balance between the two genders as we are aware that we need both men and women for a world to thrive,” said Grace.
