CRANBORNE Bullets coach, Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera, believes the pitch condition at Mandava will give his troops an edge when they meet Whawha in the Chibuku Super Cup preliminary round tomorrow.
The Hurricanes defied the odds in the last edition, of the country’s flagship knockout competition, to reach the semi-finals.
They were eliminated by Ngezi Platinum Stars, who went on to lose to FC Platinum on penalties, in the final.
Whawha failed to make an impression and suffered humiliating losses.
The two sides are separated by six points in the Premier Soccer League table.
Cranborne are just three points off the drop-zone, while the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service side are at the basement of the table.
Saruchera said fans should expect exciting football since Mandava suits his team’s style of play.
“We are very happy with the state of the pitch at Mandava, as it enables us to play our passing game,” said Saruchera.
