Youths partner professionals on neurological disorders in children

Online Reporter

Some Harare youths have come together to provide comprehensive support to children with neurological disorders through a partnership with doctors, nurses and various organisations.

So far, the project has distributed wheelchairs and other essential items to the affected children.

Neurological disorders, often characterised by physical and cognitive impairments, pose significant challenges to the affected children and their families.

Founder of the group, Mr Mark Chunga said: “Although these conditions cannot be cured, the youth-led initiative aims to improve the quality of life for these children by implementing diverse projects and support systems.

“We have launched several projects to support and fund this important cause, including chicken rearing. Our mission is to bring comfort and relief to these children and their families, and we are committed to making a meaningful impact,” Mr Chunga said.

Doctors and Nurses on a Mission public relations officer, Ms Joice Chireka, said the partnership will go a long way in improving the lives of children with neurological disorders.

The organisations’ goal is to assist as many children as possible, regardless of their location.
