Youth Empowerment, Development, and Vocational Training Minister Tino Machakaire acknowledged the achievements of three young people who have disabilities during their graduation from Chaminuka Vocational Training Centre in Mt Darwin today.

Promise Usauwevhu, Mitchel Muzirwa (23), and Gamuchirai Precious Siyapeya (22) were among the 540 students who graduated from the centre.
Minister Machakaire said the trio will receive priority in terms of job opportunities.
He said people with disabilities can receive training and are capable of doing any job.
The Minister said all vocational training centres do not require any academic qualifications, which makes them accessible to everyone.

“No entry qualifications are needed; what is required is motivation. I encourage more women, persons with disabilities, and marginalised individuals who have not attained basic education to take advantage of vocational training centres in their communities,” he said.
Minister Machaire said the Government is committed to ensuring that no one is left behind.
Muzirwa thanked Minister Machakaire: “In the past, communities looked down upon people with disabilities. We were regarded as useless, but that is not true, and Minister Machakaire has proved that today. I now have the chance to work using the skills I obtained here, thanks to the minister.”
Siyapeya who studied beauty therapy focusing on manicure and pedicure said: “During my training, I spent six months on attachment. I am now skilled and empowered for life. I urge youths who are idle to pursue life-skills courses and transform their lives.”
