Zambia name coach

LUSAKA. – Football Association of Zambia president Kalusha Bwalya yesterday formally introduced Honor Janza as the interim coach of the Zambia national football team. This was at a Press briefing addressed by the FAZ president himself at Football House. “For me it is an honour and a privilege to introduce to you Honor Janza as the interim coach of the Zambia national football team.

As an association, through the Executive Committee meeting held this morning, we have concluded that we want continuity and Mr Janza fits the bill of the trainer that we want.

“If we go through the recent history of the Chipolopolo, Honor Janza has been with the team since 2008”. – Supersport.com .
he was there in 2010 with Herve and Patrice. He was also there in 2012 when Zambia was champion of Africa.

“Once you are a champion you are always called a champion and Janza is a champion,” said the FAZ Chief.
Janza has been given the task of qualifying the Chipolopolo to the 2015 Morocco African Cup of Nations.

In his acceptance statement, Janza said he welcomed the challenge of coaching the national team as a rare opportunity.
Janza introduced his backroom staff as Chintu Kampamba (assistant coach), Joseph Kabungo (team doctor), Lusekelo Kamwambi (team manager), Stanley Kaseko (equipment manager), Davies Phiri (goalkeeper trainer), Davies Mulenga and Gibson Chaloba (both physiotherapists).
