ZANU PF has officially launched a comprehensive cell verification exercise across all six political administrative districts in Mashonaland West Province, a move aimed at strengthening its grassroots structures.
The initiative has seen provincial and Central Committee members deployed to engage directly with party structures at the local level, ensuring effective outreach and accountability.
Mashonaland West’s provincial chairman, Cde Mary Mliswa-Chikoka, yesterday announced that the cell verification process was in full swing, with reports indicating smooth progress across all districts.
She said the deployment of the party leadership to various administrative districts had been completed, allowing the dedicated teams to actively participate in the verification activities as mandated by the party.
Cde Mliswa-Chikoka expressed satisfaction with the commitment and discipline displayed by the party cadres involved in the exercise.
“The verification process is being carried out systematically and efficiently, aligning with the Party’s overarching objective of fortifying grassroots structures and ensuring the integrity of our membership records,” she stated.
The party’s provincial chairman also said the exercise was going to be held by the ruling party’s rules.
“As representatives of our province, we are steadfast in our commitment to uphold the core values of the party. We aim to conclude this critical exercise with utmost success and accuracy.”
The transparency and thoroughness of the verification process are seen as vital foundations for the party moving forward.
District Coordinating Committee (DCC) chairpersons have also praised the initiative, commending the dedicated discipline exhibited by the members conducting the verification processes.
Cde Bywell Mbiri, the Zvimba DCC chairman, emphasised the significance of cell structures within Zanu PF’s political organisation, labelling them the backbone of the party.
