The Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) has launched a nationwide supplier registration exercise as it seeks to build a comprehensive database of service providers and business partners across the football value chain.
In a public notice released this week, Zifa invited qualified, experienced and reputable companies to register for the supply and delivery of goods and services covering a wide range of football-related operations. The registration exercise spans areas such as football development, national team operations, media and communications, information technology, transport and logistics, accommodation, infrastructure, medical services, professional consultancy and commercial partnerships.
Among the key categories listed are gym and fitness equipment, television production, live streaming services, software and cloud solutions, vehicle hire, hotel accommodation, stadium refurbishment, security services, physiotherapy, legal advisory services, sponsorship sales and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence analytics and smart stadium solutions.
The Nqobile Magwizi led country’s football mother body said interested applicants must submit company registration documents, tax clearance certificates, PRAZ registration, trade references, proof of address, bank statements and evidence of relevant experience. Prospective suppliers are also required to demonstrate the capacity to offer credit facilities for a minimum of 30 days.
A non-refundable registration fee of US$85 has been set for applicants seeking inclusion on the association’s supplier database.
Applications must be submitted via email to [email protected], with the deadline set for June 19.
Zifa noted that it “reserves the right to accept or reject applications and is not obliged to register any supplier.”
The initiative is expected to strengthen procurement processes and broaden business participation in Zimbabwe’s football industry as the association continues efforts to modernise and professionalise football administration. -@FungaiMuderere
