H-METRO, the country’s premier tabloid newspaper, is set to publish a special edition on Saturday to celebrate the start of a landmark Castle Lager Premiership season this weekend.

Dubbed ‘THE BIG KICK-OFF’ the newspaper is set to contain all the information about the 18 PSL clubs including all the registered players, the coaching staff, the leadership, the colours of their kits and their home grounds.

It will also contain pictures of all the key personnel at the 18 top-flight clubs.

“We intend to publish what will effectively be a collector’s item for  all the clubs in the PSL which the clubs themselves, the players, coaches, officials and fans can take home and keep for reference for the rest of the season,” said Zimpapers Metros Editor Robson Sharuko.

“We believe that this is a special season for the PSL because we have already seen significant investment and the construction of the Chahwanda Stadium is a magical reference point of the seismic changes in our top league.

“We have seen an influx of players and coaches from neighbouring countries and this shows that our league is healthy and in a good space and we feel that we should also play our part in making it exciting by publishing this special edition which can be a reference point for the entire year.

“Our intention is to get these copies distributed at all the stadiums which will host the opening matches at the weekend.

“OF course, this can only be done if we get significant support from our partners, the clubs and those who are behind these clubs, in terms of advertising support to ensure that we cover our costs and we have already received the greenlight from the PSL in terms of this.

“Our marketing teams are already contacting various organisations and we are confident it will be a success. We have a good history when it comes to such projects.”
