The 112th Zimbabwe Agricultural Show starts today at the Exhibition Park, with business conferences and entertainment events lined up for the annual opportunity for farmers to compete and showcase.

This year’s show, which is running from today until Saturday, will be running in the normal format for the first time since the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020, although masks must be worn indoors.

Running under the theme; “Unequalled Business Opportunities, Accessibility, Accountability and Abundance”, the show offers unique business and networking opportunities through exhibitions and conferences.

“With relaxation of Covid-19 protocols, the Farmers Festival is back in full force with top artistes lined up to perform on Friday and Saturday at the Glamis Arena,” he said.

Today, there will be a dinner discussion hosted by the African Renaissance Sustainable Development.

The annual national agribusiness meeting will be held on Wednesday and the mining and agriculture breakfast interface on Thursday.

Improved gatekeeping and ticketing had been implemented to ensure that exhibitors and visitor’s convenience, which includes allocating the parking spaces.

Everyone is ready for the show.

“It is very unfortunate that many could not attend the show last year because of Covid-19, but now that the show is back for everyone, I am excited to be part of it this year,” said Michael Mashaya.

Harare resident Ms Adrian Moyo said she will be visiting the exhibitions, which she believes will help with her agricultural studies.
