Zim, Bots netball teams clash

Botswana yesterday lost 41-55 to Zambia.

Shooter Pauline Jani was outstanding for Zimbabwe in a losing cause against the hosts.
She was well supported by Netsai Muchemwa.

The top two teams from each pool advance to the semi-finals and, with Malawi favourites to win Pool A, the battle for the other slot features Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana.
Zimbabwe’s assistant coach, Tapiwa Chirenda, said they were ready.

“We will approach it (the match) cautiously despite that we played well against Malawi, we have to work on our defence and the mid-court, our attack is more than good.
‘‘We know it is a pressure game, both teams want to win, but the girls are quite confident and, as coaches, we will work with what we have seen in the first match.”

Fixtures
