Zim Trailblazers Awards set for next year

The Zimbabwe Community Trailblazers Awards (ZCTA) will celebrate its fifth edition on January 31, next year.

The event will be held at the Harare International Conference Centre running under the theme of Promoting a legacy of excellence in our communities.

In a press statement, ZCTA board Chairman Dr Nigel Chanakira said:

“We are eager to showcase the best talents in Zimbabwe and honour those who have made significant contributions to society.

“Preparations for the event, including the nomination process, are already underway.

“We are excited to honour individuals and organizations that have significantly contributed to their communities, it is essential to showcase the talent and resilience that exists within Zimbabwe,” he stated.

The event will feature a special guest of honour, a national icon and Chanakira emphasised the importance of this figure in inspiring others.

“Having a guest of such stature aligns perfectly with our theme and mission.

“The ZCTA awards, which started as a virtual event during the COVID-19 pandemic, have grown in prestige and are now recognized as one of Zimbabwe’s most significant honours.

“Our awards inspire individuals to activate their full potential, regardless of their background.

“To the winners, these are your trailblazing victories we do not just host the awards to honor you but to offer an excellent platform to network and exhibit as we build the country.

“We want everyone to feel valued and celebrated,” said Dr Chanakira.

Despite facing challenges in securing sponsorship, the ZCTA is committed to maintaining high standards of integrity and excellence.

“Nothing worthwhile comes without effort,” Chanakira remarked.

“We are actively seeking partnerships with the corporate world and local media to enhance the event’s profile,” he said.

“Together, we can build a brighter future for our nation,” he said.
