Zim U-19 cricket WC preps begin

The age group coaches will from next month start their scouting pro­gramme across the country where they will be selecting the hidden tal­ented players who will represent Zim­babwe in two years times. ZC national development manager Nick Singo said they are going to select the provisional squad of 50 players before trimming the side.
“We are going to have a busy sched­ule as we will be going even to the Rural areas to scout for some tal­ented players especially the fast bowlers.
“We want to select a squad of 50 play­ers and then trim it to the provi­sional team of 30 players whom we want to start training with. We are also intending to organise internal and external tours for provi­sional squad so that they are well pre­pared for the World Cup.
