No Zimbabwean international plying his trade in South Africaa��s Absa Premiership was nominated for this yeara��s end of season awards.

Last season, Warriors poster boy Khama Billiat walked away with three gongs including Footballer of the Season. However, this time around he has not been able to match his previous feat as Sundowns lost the premiership title to Bidvest Wits.

Orlando Piratesa�� Tendai a�?Firea�? Ndoro seemed well on his way to winning the Golden Boot until he was overtaken by Cape Town Citya��s Lebogang Manyama as his team Orlando Pirates amounted to hot air.

But Warriors assistant coach, Mandla a�?Lulua�? Mpofu is of the view that some Zimbabweans deserved special mention.

a�?Ita��s unfortunate no one from Zimbabwe was nominated for the awards. However, I believe a number of Zimbabwean players that include Ndoro, Knox Mutizwa and Kudakwashe Mahachi did well for their respective teams in the past season,a�? said Warriors assistant coach Mutizwa and Mahachi turnout for Golden Arrows a club that is also home to Warriors midfielder Danny a�?Decoa�? Phiri,a�? he said.
