ZIMBABWE’S largest integrated media house, Zimpapers, will this week host a high tea event designed to bring together women from diverse backgrounds to network, exchange ideas and celebrate their achievements.
The event, hosted under the listed company’s flagship title, The Herald, is set to take place this Saturday at Sam Levy’s Village in Borrowdale, Harare.
Speaking ahead of the gathering, The Herald Editor Victoria Ruzvidzo said the event will provide a much-needed space for women to take a break from their daily responsibilities and invest in themselves.
“Scheduled to start at 11am on Saturday, the forthcoming high tea is an acknowledgement that women take care of everything else, but rarely have time to invest in themselves,” she said.
“So, through this event they will have that rare opportunity to take time out for themselves, meet other women, share experiences and exchange notes.”
Set to be held under the theme “Pouring Power and Purpose”, the event is expected to draw a diverse group of women, including entrepreneurs,
professionals, business owners and leaders.
Discussions will focus on key areas such as business development, entrepreneurship, leadership and mental wellness.
Zimpapers public relations and events manager Mrs Pauline Matanda described the gathering as a milestone for the organisation in its efforts to empower women and create inclusive platforms for dialogue and development.
“By hosting this important event as Zimpapers through our publication, The Herald, it’s a milestone that we shall always cherish as part of our endeavours in supporting and celebrating the achievements of Zimbabwean women,” she said.
“This initiative complements our broader objectives of community engagement and corporate social responsibility.
“More so, the event provides a platform for Zimpapers to reflect on its commitment to diversity and inclusion, consolidating its image and fostering goodwill among its diverse audience.”
