THE country’s largest media house, Zimpapers, has partnered with Ace Students Recruitment, a study abroad agency, to host a Languages Day expo at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Harare today.
The exhibition is being held in commemoration of the International Mother Language Day, which was proclaimed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in 1999, to recognise the importance of mother languages in preserving cultural heritage and fostering cultural diversity.
Ace Students Recruitment director, Ms Shireen Ramajan, said his organisation strives to improve international study accessible by all.
“We believe in the transformative power of education and strive to make international study accessible to all,” she said.
As one of the study abroad agency exhibiting at the Languages Day expo, Ace Students Recruitment, has pledged to utilise the platform created by the upcoming event to connect prospective students with suitable universities and opportunities for scholarships locally and internationally.
The partnership is a strategic move aimed at promoting cultural exchange and educational opportunities.
And the expo, which aims to promote language diversity and cultural heritage will bring together students, youths, professionals, academics, study abroad agencies, and the general public.
In an interview, Zimpapers public relations and communications manager Mrs Pauline Matanda said: “We are excited to partner with Ace Students Recruitment on this important initiative.
“As a media organisation, we recognise the importance of promoting language diversity and cultural heritage and we believe that this expo will provide a valuable platform for Zimbabweans to celebrate their linguistic and cultural diversity.”
The agency has been known for helping students to successfully pursue their studies abroad by offering them guidance and collaborating with reputable universities for placement.
One of the students recruited by Ace Students Recruitment Fadzai Mupenzwa who is pursuing her studies in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates said:
