ONE of the most crucial questions a nation must confront on its journey towards self-determination and progress is: How do we build a successful society where every citizen thrives and shares in the nation’s prosperity?
The answer to this question is far simpler than what most people think.
It is by creating a pristine political landscape wherein everyone can thrive.
Zimbabwe’s political landscape has witnessed tremendous changes since the dawn of the New Dispensation.
The changes that have occurred so far, all positive by the way, have ensured that there is a breath of fresh air in our politics.
For the first time, even opposition politicians in Parliament, or whatever is left of them, have come to acknowledge the positive impact brought about by the ZANU PF-led Government.
Finally, there is sanity in Zimbabwe’s political landscape, which has no space for puppets, as they will always be rejected by the people.
Zimbabweans across the political divide are coming together to work for their beloved nation.
For the first time in a long time, the opposition is unsure what tomorrow will bring.
It is effectively dead in the water.
A resurgent ZANU PF has wiped out any hopes of the opposition making something meaningful out of its miserable existence.
The ruling party’s dominance in recent times is a clear testament to the bold vision and attractive policies that have been introduced by the ZANU PF-led Government under the capable leadership of His Excellency, President ED Mnangagwa.
ZANU PF has dominated almost all by-elections that have been held after the 2023 harmonised polls, including in constituencies that were previously considered opposition strongholds.
The people’s party is indeed experiencing its golden age.
Our party has not only grown but has also gone through an impressive process of renewal.
It is now a modern party capable of meeting the people’s needs.
There has also been tremendous growth in our party membership.
The ZANU PF card is now the most sought-after commodity in town.
As we are enjoying this recent renaissance, there are obviously those who seek to derail our success.
A lot of misinformation and disinformation has been spread by those who cannot fathom the progress we have made thus far.
There is no denying that we have come a long way.
Indeed, it has been a difficult road.
We have come out of the woods and are now enjoying the fruits of our labour.
We rightly deserve all the nice things that are coming our way as a nation.
Anyone who seeks to reverse our success and positive achievements is an enemy of the people.
We should not be distracted by sideshows and theatrics by those who do not have knowledge of our plight and the difficult journey we have traversed so far.
The future looks promising.
With discipline and respect for leadership, as well as adherence to the correct party line, we are set to achieve all our aspirations, and then some more.
Let us, therefore, cherish the serenity that we enjoy as a nation and everything positive that comes with it.
As a nation, we truly deserve the opportunity to give ourselves a pat on the back for the positive political environment we have created.
