Sixty Blair toilets have been built for the Hwange West people under the Chidobe Community-led Sanitation Project by the Ocean Bird Foundation as part of efforts to combat open defecation in villages.

Ocean Bird Foundation is an organisation that seeks to uplift the lives of women and youths through empowerment using various projects.

Regional director Ganizani Phiri said they were targeting the construction of 1 000 toilets by 2020.

This Friday the foundation will embark on a clean-up campaign in Bulawayo, Hwange, Gwanda and Victoria Falls from 8am-10am.
