TWO learners at Masasi High School in Marange who allegedly gang raped a fellow female learner after drugging her are now in police custody after being arrested yesterday.
In a disgusting act, the three learners in uniforms took turns to sexually abuse the girl who was motionless due to intoxication. They also recorded the disturbing act, and the video has since gone viral online, sparking outrage. The juveniles were praising themselves as soldiers while abusing the girl.
An older person is said to have come across the videos in one of the learner’s phone, shared it to his phone before notifying school authorities of the case. However, the informant went on to spread the videos of the juveniles on social media platforms.
ZRP has since issued a statement over the matter and said: “Reference is made to the ZRP’s X post on September 28, 2025 in connection with the viral social media post on sexual activities by Masasi High School, Marange students. The ZRP has located the complainant (17) and the two suspects, all aged (16). More details will be released as inquiries continue,” posted ZRP on its X account.
Efforts to get a comment from Manicaland Provincial Education Director, Mr Richard Gabaza, were fruitless as he was not in office, and also not reachable on his mobile numbers. However, Manica Post has it on good authority that the ministry has since launched an investigation.
