THE Zimbabwe Republic Police and Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education have launched comprehensive investigations into a disgusting case of sexual abuse where four male learners at Masasi Secondary School in Marange allegedly drugged a fellow female learner before taking turns to abuse her.
The learners recorded themselves abusing the girl who remained motionless due to intoxication. The learners could be heard praising themselves as soldiers in the video. The video has since gone viral on social media, causing an uproar, and call for authorities to take immediate action.
ZRP has since issued a statement and said: “The ZRP has noted a viral sexual abuse incident involving school children which occurred recently. The ZRP has dispatched a team to conduct comprehensive investigations in connection with the incident. More details will be released in due course.”
Efforts to get a comment from Manicaland Provincial Education Director, Mr Richard Gabaza, were fruitless as he was not in office, and also not reachable on his mobile numbers.
However, Manica Post has it on good authority that the ministry has since launched an investigation.
More details to follow . . .
