AFTER failing to land the Stanbic Bank Twenty20 cricket title, Castle Logan Cup defending champions Matabeleland Tuskers will on Monday face Mountaineers in a four-day game at Queens Sports Club.
Mountaineers go into the match bubbling with confidence after lifting the Stanbic Bank Twenty20 cup. They beat Mashonaland Eagles in the final that was played in Harare last week.
Tuskers chief executive officer, Stanley Staddon told Chronicle Sport that they were putting behind the misery of failing to land the first piece of silverware in the domestic cricket season and were concentrating on defending their title.
