The country, which is the seventh largest producer in the world, has potential to supply 25 percent of global demand.

Harare — The Zimbabwe Government will soon withdraw export licences from miners exporting raw platinum as the country moves to promote value addition of minerals, a senior Government official said on Saturday.
The move is meant to force companies to build refineries.

IMPORTED potatoes continue to flood the market forcing some local farmers to move away from growing the crop, the Zimbabwe Commercial Farmers Union (ZCFU) has said.
At the moment imported potatoes especially from South Africa dominate the market to the disadvantage of local producers.

Hwange Town Council issues commercial stands to SMEs

HWANGE Town Council has awarded three commercial stands to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) for the growth and development of operations by entrepreneurs in the town.
In an interview, the chairman of SMEs in Hwange, Mr Themba Chauke, said the town council issued them three stands from which they could conduct business.
“We were given three stands, one for the construction of West Foods Wholesale from which we will order our commodities.  Another stand will be for the construction of a shopping mall while the other one will be for the establishment of a flea market.
