SENIOR citizens staying in Pelandaba, Iminyela and Mabutweni suburbs yesterday had a belated Christmas present when they received one tonne of mealie-meal donated by Blue Ribbon Industries. Governor and Resident Minister for Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Cain Mathema officially handed over 100 by 10kg bags of mealie-meal to 100 senior citizens of the suburbs.
Zesa projects increased power demand in 2012

THE country’s power demand is expected to increase significantly in 2012 as a result of projected growth in the mining sector. According to an online publication, 4castresearch.com, Zesa said the projected growth in mining operations would put pressure on the country, which presently imports 35 percent of its electricity from regional countries.
