Wife, son’s heads for Merc

A MUREHWA man allegedly sought a buyer for the heads of his wife and son in exchange for a Mercedes Benz. The man, Valentine Chafutuka (22), has since appeared in court facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder.
He was not formally charged when he appeared before regional magistrate Ms Fadzai Mthombeni.
Chafutuka was remanded in custody to January 24 this year.
Prosecutor Mr Sidwell Kanzete alleges that on January 2 this year at around 11am, Chafutuka approached one Wise Mutenda at
Roadport in Harare and proposed a deal with him.
The two who were meeting for the first time exchanged contact numbers, it is alleged.

Firm sues RBZ for R2,6m

SCOTTCO spinning mill has taken the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe to court seeking to recover over R2,6 million taken from its in 2007.
In summons issued at the High Court last month the company is seeking an order compelling the RBZ to return R1 455 667,12 and US$1 513,88 withdrawn from its MBCA Bank account in 2007.
It also wants another R1 168 432,46 and US$37,50 that was taken from its other account at BancABC.
All the money should be returned with interest as prescribed by law.
