THE poor state of the country’s roads is a serious concern to motorists, as it has caused accidents, some fatal and damaged vehicles.
Some local authorities repair major roads from residential areas to the city centres by patching up potholes but  the situation always worsens during the rainy season, rendering their efforts useless as road accidents keep on recurring.

BUSINESSPEOPLE have been urged to ensure that their premises have fire protection systems to avoid huge losses in case of fire.
In an interview, the Bulawayo City Council’s chief fire officer, Mr Richard Peterson, said most premises did not have equipment to quickly detect fire outbreaks because they were not compatible with modern building provisions.
