New vaccination schedule for children

NEWLY born babies are now expected to begin vaccinations at six weeks instead of the previous three months after the initial vaccine given at birth.
This follows introduction of the new child health card and the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine in Zimbabwe recently.

ORGANISERS of the 10th edition of the National Youth Games yesterday roped in Oliver Mtukudzi in an agreement to use the music superstar to promote the event.
Tuku, who is scheduled to leave for an overseas tour, was given a symbolic gold medal by Games’ chief executive, Stan Kasukuwere.

ZC team leave for Benoni

ZIMBABWE junior cricket teams left for South Africa this morning to take part in the Eastern Junior Club Cricket Association festival, which starts tomorrow in Benoni.
Walter Chawaguta will lead the Under-17 team while Wayne James will be in charge of the Under-16 squad and David Mutendera will guide the Under-14 squad.
Other countries taking part in the festival include Dubai, Botswana, Namibia and hosts South Africa.
