PRESIDENT Mugabe yesterday received a thunderous welcome from Ugandans on his arrival at the Kololo Grounds in Kampala for that country’s Golden Jubilee celebrations.
The President was greeted with wild cheers and praises by ecstatic Ugandans.
There was a buzz among journalists and guests in the VIP enclosure as President Mugabe disembarked from a vehicle to take his seat alongside several heads of state and government who attended the festivities.
Ugandans from different spheres of life spoke glowingly about President Mugabe, describing him as “Africa’s true statesman”.
