MDC-T suspends provincial leaders

THE MDC-T structures in Matabeleland North have been torn apart with the party suspending some provincial leaders as in-fighting escalates.

MDC-T deputy president Ms Thokozani Khupe has been implicated in the suspensions, which party supporters fear would further weaken the Western sponsored party ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The divisions come at a time Zanu-PF has made inroads into the constituencies controlled by the MDC-T under a mobilisation campaign led by Politburo member Dr Obert Mpofu.

The MDC-T has since dispatched a panel of officials from Harvest House led by Mbizo Member of Parliament Mr Settlement Chikwinya, which on Saturday reportedly suspended the provincial organising secretary, Mr Thembinkosi Sibindi and the deputy provincial secretary Ms Angeline Kheswa.
