ACTING President Joice Mujuru yesterday said the Government has set up a national committee on food and nutrition as it moves to promote agriculture at ward level in the country.

Acting President Mujuru said the National Committee on Food and Nutrition, which is coordinated from the Office of the President and Cabinet, was also meant to promote direct interaction between senior Government officials and the grassroots.

Cde Mujuru said this at Chemahororo Irrigation Scheme in Gokwe South where she was officially commissioning a drip irrigation system at the 50-hectare irrigation scheme.
