Family dispels VP Nkomo rumours

VICE-President Landa John Nkomo’s family yesterday dispelled rumours that the veteran nationalist had passed away.

Rumours have since Wednesday been circulating around the country that VP Nkomo had died at his home in Bulawayo.

However, in an interview yesterday, his son, Mr Jabulani Nkomo said the family was angered by the rumours.

“These persistent but unfounded rumours are in very bad taste and traumatising to the family. We are so tired of them that very soon, we may need to identify those spreading them and sue them,” said Mr Nkomo.
