More ICT infrastructure for rural areas

GOVERNMENT is constructing more ICT infrastructure in rural areas with the aim of boosting network accessibility and spur rural development.

Information, Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister, Dr Jenfan Muswere ,said the programme is under the key priorities of National Development Strategy 1 to have an improved digital economy.

“Government remains committed to the attainment of a digital economy by enabling environment for growth of the telecommunications sector to ensure every citizen has internet connectivity”, he said..
