AFGHANISTAN risk an innings defeat to Chevrons at Harare Sports Club, if the situation on the ground is anything to go by.

Five wickets taken on day three of the Zimbabwe only test against Afghanistan have left the visitors on the ropes.

In Afghanistan second innings, Richard Ngarava has taken three wickets while Tanaka Chivanga has two and Blessing Muzarabani one.

With Afghanistan still trailing Zimbabwe by 105 at lunch, everything is pointing to a disastrous end for the visitors.

On day one they crumbled, managing 127 in their first innings. In response, Zimbabwe posted a competitive 359, with Ben Curran carrying the Chevrons.

By end of day two, Afghanistan had already lost a wicket, and the Chevrons have added five more to make it 127 for 6.
