THE Africa Twins Summit is expected to cast a spotlight on the unique experiences of twins and multiple births across the continent.
It will be hosted by the Twins Association of Zimbabwe (TAZI) at the Glamis Arena in Harare.
The summit aims to tackle issues faced by mothers of twins and multiple births.
TAZI presidents, Wellington Mbiwa and Washington Mbiwa, said the red carpet is ready and a number of participants have started arriving.
“It is going to be a memorable gathering,” said the Mbiwa twins.
“We have already started to receive some of the participants and we want to thank various government Ministries for the support as well as some captains of industries and some individuals.
“We are hosting participants from the continent and this Summit will see our regional leaders, Farai Lawyer Katonha and Tendai Mayor Katonha, being inaugurated as presidents of the Africa Twins Association.
“We are inviting everyone to come and see the greatness of the Almighty for the gift of twins and multiple births.”
He said a local bus company has offered to transport twins and multiple births participants from ten provinces to Harare for the event.
One set of twins from Kenya, Anthony Kibere and Samuel Kibere, 30, said they have been blown away by the beauty of Zimbabwe and the friendliness of its people.
“Zimbabwean people are so friendly and loving.
“We are enjoying a lot, especially the agricultural products.”
