ALL is set for Chibuku Neshamwari Dance Festival finals scheduled for August 13 in the Harare Gardens.
The occasion also marks the 60th anniversary of the Chibuku brand, which has provided local traditional brew lovers with their favourite drink.
Ten teams will compete for the prize money while four lucky customers will each walk away with a new Nissan Navara single cab in the Chibuku Big 60 Promotion Grand Draw.
Organisers say preparations have begun in earnest.
“Preparations have begun in earnest for the Chibuku Neshamwari National Final to be held on Saturday 13th of August 2022 at Harare Gardens.
“The competitions will be graced by well-known performing guest artists.
“It will truly be an exciting day, as we are also set to conduct the Chibuku Big 60 Promotion Grand Draw, where four consumers will win brand new Nissan Navara single cabs,” said Patricia Murambinda, Delta Corporation, general manager, corporate affairs.
Seven different types of dance – Amabhiza, Dinhe, Chewa Malawi-Gulewankulu, Mbende Jerusalema, Majukwa, Mbakumba and Malawi Gure – will be showcased.
Harare province will be represented by Dedza Chitandidzo who play Nyau, while Goromonzi Arts Mbende (Jerusalema) represents Mashonalad East.
Other provinces like Masvingo with be presented by Dzimbamabwe (TD Group Majukwa; Mat South by Bolamba Performing Arts (Setapa); Mat North by Pezhuba Pachena Dance Ensemble (Nsumbule), Bulawayo by Unlenje Arts (Amabhiza); Manicaland by (Dapurahunanzva Mbakumba); Mash West by (Budiriro Arts); Midlands (M’kango) and Mash Central Guruve will be banking on Marimba Arts Ensemble, who specialise in Dinhe.
